Tenesha serves as the Director of Maternal and Child Health & Collective Impact at the March of Dimes for the Miami, Florida market. She is a native of Central Florida and has worked in the nonprofit community in South Florida for the past 12 years. She earned a Masters degree in Public Health with a focus in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention from Florida International University (FIU) and a B.S in Human Science from Florida State University (FSU). She is a Certified Community Health Worker (CCHW) and possesses extensive experience in Health Education. She is the Co-Chair for the Health Baby Taskforce, Vice Chair of the Children’s Issues Committee within the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade. She is also the Chair of the Miami-Dade KidCare Coalition. Tenesha is committed to improving health disparities and providing preventive services to at-risk pregnant women and infants in order to reduce infant and maternal deaths as well as addressing racial gaps in public and maternal health sectors. She has a passion for improving the health of the community and maximizing program impact through innovative strategic planning and collaboration.
